Lindsey Bowden

Hello! My name is Lindsey! I am new to the birth doula world, but caring for babies and families has been a passion of mine for a long time. I have worked as a Newborn Care Specialist and nanny for the past 10 years. When I am not doing birth doula work, I am usually spending time outside with my husband and son, serving at church, and learning as much as I can about a wide variety of topics. Some of the topics that I have the most knowledge about are baby-led sleep, baby led weaning, breastfeeding, and oral ties. I can also be found watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S, while looking at interior design accounts on Instagram.

When I completed my doula training, I was pregnant with my son and about to give birth for the first time. My birth was so beautiful and spiritual, ending in a C-section after a long labor. Although a C-section was not a part of my birth plan it was an experience that I am thankful for. I learned so much about that process and the recovery that I never would have been able to truly understand without it. I couldn’t have imagined getting through it without my doula being with me and my husband the whole time. She really inspired me to continue on in my birth doula journey to aid other women that may have a different birth experience than the one they had planned.

I believe I have a calling from God to care for and support families as they navigate all that can come with bringing a new baby into the world. I believe that birth is a sacred and holy experience that every woman deserves to encounter as such.  I am very passionate about women feeling valued and supported no matter how they birth their baby.
